For the Best
When writing this book, I was really interested in what it meant for something to be 'For the Best'- uncomfortable like medicine, gross like a ruptured pimple. Mostly, it's confusing when nothing seems to heal correctly. The simple explanation is that these poems are about growing up. Really, it features a lot of looking for and finding answers in unexpected places: treehouses, spilled coffee, empty houses and kitchens.
